1.2 Information Stored in Your iCloud:

If you enable iCloud sync, your health data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit framework. This data is encrypted and only accessible to you through your Apple ID.

1.3 Anonymous Technical Information:

• Device type and iOS version
• App version and crash reports
• Anonymous usage analytics (feature usage, performance metrics)
• Firebase Analytics data (no personally identifiable information)

2. How We Use AI and OCR

RedLAB uses AI-based Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to extract text from your lab reports and medical documents. Here’s how it works:

• Server-Side Processing: Images are temporarily sent to our secure servers for OCR processing
• No Data Retention: Once the text is extracted and returned to your device, the images are immediately deleted from our servers
• No Cloud Storage: Your original documents and extracted health data are never stored on our servers
• Encrypted Transmission: All data sent for OCR processing is encrypted using industry-standard protocols

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage:

Your health data is primarily stored on your iOS device using encrypted local storage. This data never leaves your device except for:

• Temporary OCR processing (images only, immediately deleted)
• Optional iCloud backup to your personal iCloud account

3.2 iCloud Storage:

When you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account. Apple encrypts this data both in transit and at rest. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

3.3 Security Measures:

• End-to-end encryption for data transmission
• Secure authentication using Firebase Authentication
• Regular security audits and updates

4. Third-Party Services

RedLAB integrates with the following third-party services:

• No health data is sent to Firebase

4.2 Apple iCloud:

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: View all your stored health data within the app
• Export: Export your data in standard formats
• Delete: Delete all your data from the app and your device
• iCloud Control: Enable or disable iCloud sync at any time
• Account Deletion: Request complete account deletion through the app settings

7. Children’s Privacy

RedLAB is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the app
• Updating the “Last Updated” date
• Sending an in-app notification for significant changes

10. Data Retention

• Local Data: Retained until you delete it or uninstall the app
• iCloud Data: Retained in your iCloud account until you delete it
• OCR Processing: Images deleted immediately after processing
• Analytics Data: Retained for up to 14 months for improvement purposes

11. International Users

RedLAB is available worldwide. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.
